The tropical look of this picture of an inground swimming pool has an ambiance that is created by both the color of the water and the landscape surrounding the swimming pool. The builder has installed lights in the pool that bring out the bright pale blue reminiscent of white sand beaches. The palm trees further emphasize the feeling of a beachside resort.

Additional lighting around the swimming pool provides safety and atmosphere to the areas at the boundaries of the pool. The main walkway of the pool appears to be of poured concrete, matching the landscape wall, instead of regular tile. The edges of the pool make use of large, flat stones that accentuate the pool’s form. Two large stones at the upper left of the pool picture create an unusual and creative entryway into the pool with steps leading down into the water. Also to the left of the picture is a seating area that extends the concrete out past the swimming pool.

At the right of the freeform pool picture is the hot tub. Its is composed of the same type of flat stones that the swimming pool edges are made from. Beyond the hot tub is the main entry area to the pool with well-marked steps leading into the water.
